Hi there,

I hope that this email finds you well.

I’m writing to invite you to come along to Potters Field Park next Wednesday 25th May to enjoy a free lunch, courtesy of MasterCard, ongoing partners of The Big Lunch.

MasterCard have arranged an exciting promotional event where they will attempt to break the Guinness World record for the Longest ever picnic table! The giant picnic table will be situated at Potter’s Field, right by City hall, and is set to be a staggering 90 metres (=270 feet) in length.

We’d like you to come along, be part of the fun and enjoy the free lunch provided at the table on the day from 12pm—first come first served!

Former Blur star and passionate foodie Alex James will be hosting the lunch and overseeing the world record breaking attempt. Following the lunch, the picnic table will be divided into sections and smaller tables donated to London parks, creating a lasting legacy in some of The Big Lunch’s most supportive boroughs.

The event will be taking place at Potters Field Park, Tower Bridge, City of London, EC4R at 12pm [NB A reader has kindly drawn attention to the fact that this PostCode is wrong – so please beware, it is more likely SE1; the site is on the South Bank, near the London Assembly’s Headlamp Building. We are simply relaying the e-mail as received from the organisers.].

Let me know if you have any questions.

We really hope you can make it and we look forward to meeting you!

Best wishes
